Astrology is an occult science, based on many thousands years of experiences, which studies the connection between the planets and life on earth. The saying "as above, so below", is Astrology in a nutshell. Astrology works with symbols - the planets and zodiac signs are symbols of forces here on earth, whether they are manifested at the separate individual or globally.

Astrology is not based on the assumption that the heavenly bodies have any physical influences on the life on earth, if we disregard the Sun and Moon, which most people is aware about. But that there is a kind of symbolic correlation between the heavenly bodies at a specific time, and the equivalent time and place on earth. A kind of synchronisity in time and space.

Astrology also assumes that life must have its origin in a supreme, all-embracing, impersonal "being" - God, or whatever it should be called.

Astrology is in many ways a philosophy, but different compared to many other philosophies as it's possible to work practically with it. Astrology is very old, probably as old as mankind, and it can be traced to all old civilizations- the Babylonian, Egyptian, Indian, Chinese, Mayan, Greece, Roman and Arabian.

The individual Horoscope is based upon the exact time and place of birth, and consists of a chart that shows the positions of the planets at that time. This moment, birth or the first breath, is the basis of Astrology. Why? Because, at that moment soul and body is finally united for the newborn. And for this reason, all astrologers beleives in Reincarnation.

Astrology is becoming more and more of a psychological tool, from being a tool to mainly predict the future. Astrology is more and more used to describe and understand the human personality, very might the same as psychoanalysis, although most Astrologers also predict future trends and destiny.

Most people seem to know in which "sign" they are born. To be born in a specific sign depends on where during the year a person is born; in which month. This is a very simplified and unsatisfying explanation - which most people seem to be content with. In order to understand more than this, one must understand the basics of Astronomy and Astrology. It's not just a matter of which "sign" a person is born in, but also where Moon and all the Planets are located, as well as the angles between the planets, and other factors as well.

A personal Horoscope contains much more than what most people are aware of. It shows all your life, everything all the qualities which are there from the start; from birth and earlier lives, to qualities which appears during the life, to personal experiences, crises, etceteras. Often, the Horoscope could seem to be fatal, but the individual always has his free will. We can either use our will and talents or not care a bit about it due to passivity or fear. So, the Birth Horoscope also shows our limitations, and we can either accept them and, or try our best to adapt and fight in order to overcome them.
